Meet The Team

Founder & CEO
Courtney
I started Domesticated Diva Event Planning over 25 years ago in my own home with a simple dream: to create a space where local makers and home-based businesses could truly thrive. Since then, I’ve watched this vision grow from small gatherings in church basements to community halls, and finally into the large trade halls we fill today.
If you know me, you know I am Type A to the core. I thrive on high-level organization and believe that a perfectly structured environment is the only way for things to run smoothly. I’ve brought that precision to every event for the last two decades, ensuring that our vendors and guests have the seamless experience they deserve.
My mission has always been about more than just logistics; it’s about people. I wanted to give my neighbors a platform to share their handcrafted products so they could pay their bills and feed their families. That drive to give back has expanded into fundraising for local organizations and my lifelong commitment to animal rescues—I’m a "fur momma" through and through!
Beyond the business, I’m dedicated to the physical and mental health of our community. As a certified yoga instructor, I offer affordable classes for all levels because I believe wellness should be accessible to everyone. Whether I’m organizing a massive trade show or leading a yoga session, my goal is to ensure our community feels supported, healthy, and—above all—connected.

COO
Gita
Hey y'all! I’m Gita—the shortest member of the team and the one usually moving at 100mph. If you’re looking for me, just scan the room for a pop of fun hair or a bright outfit; or better yet, just look for the blur as I’m speeding past to handle the next big thing!
You likely recognize my face from our live videos or local media interviews, but what you don’t see is the "organized chaos" I’m managing off-camera as our resident problem-solver. Whether I’m troubleshooting a tech glitch, updating our website and contracts, or stepping in to handle de-escalations, I’m here to make sure the wheels stay on the tracks.
I’ve been part of the DIVA world for over a decade, transitioning from a superfan to the COO. That history gives me a unique perspective on how to serve our community best. Whether I’m styling an outfit on a livestream, representing us on the news, or streamlining our daily operations, my goal is always the same: keeping our show family happy.
I’ve been a proud DIVA for 10+ years, and there’s nothing I love more than connecting with you all. Thanks for being part of the magic!

Shana
Hi all,
I'm Shana and have been working with Courtney for at least 15 years. I love love love being a Diva and helping out any way I can.
Most times you can find me taping electrical cords down, putting out signage or anything else Courtney needs me to do. Due to my full-time day job, I am unable to be at any of the markets during March and April (tax season) but I do try to help behind the scenes when I can.
I enjoy getting to know you all and your businesses and can't wait to see everyone each May.

Melissa
Hi everyone, I’m Melissa you’ve probably seen me running around with either tickets or a clicker in my hand helping out where I can. I’m relatively new to helping out the Divas (been a vendor for much longer) and I appreciate all the support from the vendors especially as us new helpers are learning the ins and outs of putting on a great DDE

Christie
Hi everyone, Christie here. I'm a rookie domesticated diva. I've been a vendor at DDE for many years but just joined the ladies this last year as a Diva. You will find me running behind the scenes wherever help is needed. I try to answer all your questions and if I dont know the answer, I will find it out and get back to you as soon as I can...
